An increasing number of food labels include information on Guideline Daily Amounts (GDAs) – these represent the approximate amount of the featured nutrients that can be eaten as part of a healthy diet. |
We're all different and because of this we all have different nutritional needs. These needs are determined by several factors including age, gender and activity levels. |
There isn't enough space on most food labels to list GDAs for different population groups so to provide a general guide our GDAs are given for a typical adult woman. |
